Monkey Saves Goat from Water
The morning sun had just risen over the quiet forest river when a young goat wandered too close to the slippery edge of the bank. Curious and playful, the little goat leaned forward to look at its reflection in the water. Suddenly, the muddy ground gave way beneath its feet, and it slipped into the rushing stream.
The goat struggled to stay above the water, crying loudly as the current carried it farther from shore. Nearby, a clever monkey sitting in a tree heard the desperate sounds. Without hesitation, the monkey jumped from branch to branch, quickly following the frightened animal along the river.
Seeing the goat growing weaker, the monkey spotted a long vine hanging from a tree. It grabbed the vine and swung toward the water. Reaching out carefully, the monkey lowered the vine toward the goat. The goat managed to bite and hold onto it.
With determination, the monkey pulled and guided the goat toward the riverbank. After a difficult effort, the little goat reached safety.
Wet but unharmed, the goat stood beside its brave rescuer. From that day on, an unlikely friendship grew between them, proving that kindness can come from anywhere.
