I rescued a stray cat, but its belly was really big. When I first saw her wandering alone near a quiet road, I immediately noticed how tired and weak she looked. Her fur was dirty, and she moved slowly as if every step was difficult. But what caught my attention most was her unusually large belly.
I could not leave her there, so I carefully approached her with some food and water. She was frightened at first, but after a few minutes, she trusted me enough to come closer. I gently picked her up and took her somewhere safe.
I was worried about her condition, so I brought her to a veterinarian for a checkup. After examining her, the vet discovered something wonderful. She was pregnant and carrying several tiny kittens!
Suddenly, her big belly made sense. She had been surviving on the streets while protecting her unborn babies. I decided to give her a warm, comfortable place to rest and plenty of nutritious food.
A few weeks later, she gave birth to a beautiful group of healthy kittens. Watching the little family sleep peacefully together made me realize that rescuing one stray cat had actually saved several lives. It was one of the most rewarding moments I had ever experienced.
