Rescue the Monkey from the Sewer
A quiet afternoon turned into an unforgettable rescue when local residents heard faint cries coming from a deep sewer drain. Curious neighbors gathered around and soon discovered a frightened young monkey trapped below. Unable to climb the slippery concrete walls, the exhausted animal desperately reached upward for help.
Emergency rescuers quickly arrived with ropes, ladders, and safety equipment. Working carefully to avoid causing the monkey additional stress, one rescuer climbed into the sewer while others remained above to provide support. After several tense minutes, the frightened monkey was gently secured in a rescue bag and lifted safely to the surface.
Once free, the monkey was examined by a wildlife veterinarian. Fortunately, it had only minor cuts, dehydration, and fatigue. After receiving water, food, and medical care, the monkey slowly regained its strength and became more relaxed.
Wildlife experts believe the monkey may have accidentally fallen into the open sewer while searching for food or moving through the area. They reminded the public to report injured or trapped wildlife immediately instead of attempting dangerous rescues themselves.
