Monkey Saves Baby Pig From Otter
The morning sun shimmered across the quiet riverbank as a tiny baby pig wandered away from its family. Curious and playful, the little piglet sniffed flowers, chased butterflies, and stepped closer to the water without noticing the danger nearby.
Beneath the calm surface, an otter was swimming through the river. It spotted movement at the edge and quickly rushed toward the small pig. Startled, the piglet slipped on the muddy bank and squealed loudly for help.
High above in the trees, a monkey heard the frightened cries. The monkey had been gathering fruit when the sound caught its attention. Without hesitation, it swung rapidly from branch to branch and rushed toward the river.
The otter was already close to the piglet. The baby pig tried to climb back up the bank but kept sliding. Just then, the monkey leaped down onto a low branch hanging over the water and shook it hard. Leaves and small twigs fell into the river, surprising the otter and making it pause.
The monkey then dropped lower, making loud warning calls. Confused by the sudden noise and movement, the otter turned away and swam back into deeper water.
The piglet quickly scrambled up the bank, trembling but safe. The monkey gently offered a piece of fruit it had carried, and the little pig calmed down.
Soon, the piglet’s family arrived and led it back home. Before leaving, the baby pig looked back at the monkey, as if saying thank you.
That day, an unexpected friendship showed that courage can come from the most surprising heroes.
