Otter Saves Kitten
Along the edge of a quiet river, a tiny kitten wandered too far from home. Curious and playful, the little kitten chased a butterfly through the tall grass without noticing how close it was getting to the water. One wrong step sent the kitten slipping down the muddy bank and into the cold river.
The kitten struggled to stay above the water, meowing desperately for help. Nearby, an otter was swimming peacefully with smooth, graceful movements. Hearing the cries, the otter quickly turned and rushed toward the frightened kitten.
Without hesitation, the brave otter gently nudged the kitten upward with its nose, keeping it afloat. The otter carefully guided the tiny animal toward the riverbank, swimming slowly so the kitten would not panic.
After reaching safety, the kitten climbed onto the grass, soaked but unharmed. The otter stayed nearby for a moment, almost as if checking that the kitten was okay before slipping back into the river.
The unexpected rescue showed that kindness can appear in surprising ways. Though they were different animals from different worlds, the otter’s quick actions saved a helpless little life and created a heartwarming moment by the river.
